For me, the entrance would have looked simpler... without masonry steps and preferably with some wood.Without masonry steps – what would be a suitable alternative safe means of ascent for you, especially when coming up carrying items from the basement?https://www.instagram.com/11antgmxde/

Oh.. I was only referring to the small steps on the left and right side of the entrance.Ah, you mean the stepped stringers framing the doorway. Yes, they really have a bit of an Egyptian decorative style ;-)https://www.instagram.com/11antgmxde/

Here are a few final pictures of the completed project. The door, frame, and ground hatch were built by the neighbor. He really has a golden touch! The mound is now quite overgrown with pumpkins. The temperatures are currently stable around 19°C (66°F) near the ceiling and 17°C (63°F) near the floor. Humidity is about 90%.

It’s absolutely incredible how meticulous and detail-oriented (and how much time it must have taken ?) you put that earth cellar together. Once again: hats off and respect! I have absolutely no idea how someone manages to create something like that. I’m always amazed by projects like this, including those from other forum members 😉
