ᐅ Wall panels as splash guards

Hello,
I would like to use the wall panels offered by IKEA to protect the wall behind our stove from splashes. I believe the wall behind is a gypsum board wall, simply painted white, so I am a bit hesitant to attach the panels permanently with silicone, as I have no experience with how easily they can be removed later. The solution is actually intended to be temporary, for 1-2 years.

Does anyone have experience with this? Can these panels also be securely fixed with screws, or does anyone have another/easier solution?

Thank you in advance.

Well, the webshop says
This product is not available through the IKEA online shop. Check if it is available at your local IKEA store. Prices may vary in IKEA stores.

So, I’m no wiser than before.

Regarding the installation, what you say sounds totally reasonable. Maybe without the rail after all... tricky, tricky...

Hi,

both versions should be shown in the single-family house. Just take another look and ask right away what is going on with Fastbo.

Best regards

Well, it seems it's over now, only the metal ones and the black version are left. It's a pity, I would have liked to have a white version as well. I'll have to see what I can make myself now.

Take a look at HPL laminate panels (available at woodworking supply stores).
