Hello everyone,
I’m currently renovating my new apartment. It came with a fitted kitchen that is actually perfectly sufficient for me. However, I don’t really like the look of the kitchen, so I want to make some changes. Right now, it has light beech-colored countertops. The cabinets are also beech-colored, with matte white fronts and wooden handles.
I already have new metal handles that I like. For the countertops, I chose a relatively dark wood pattern that I really like (a dark brown, almost anthracite tone). Now I want to make the cabinets either white or cream-colored. Which would be "easier" or "better"? Painting or using adhesive vinyl film?
I would appreciate any suggestions.

My brother-in-law worked with foil on his kitchen, and it looks great. Unfortunately, I can’t say anything about the effort or costs.
Some time ago, I redesigned a plastic radiator cover from the 1970s. I sanded it down, primed it, applied two coats of paint, and finished with a wide brush using lacquer. It turned out really well. The idea came from a local paint and coatings specialist who also sold me the materials at a low price.
Picture available on request 😉 if it’s still on the computer.
My personal preference: painting it.
