Hello everyone,
I have a (probably very basic) question:
I have two Cat7 network outlets in both the living room and the bedroom, each with two ports. How can I use these? For example, I would like to connect the receiver in the living room, but the router is located in the utility room, and the receiver does not support Wi-Fi. How can I establish the connection? All my Google searches only lead me to blogs explaining the basics of cable installation, so I’m probably using the wrong search terms... If anyone has a guide or knows which keywords I should search for, please let me know!
Thanks in advance

You need to check where the cables from the living room outlets come out in the utility room, which is probably a so-called patch panel. Usually, the outlets in the patch panel and those in the living room are numbered accordingly. So if you take, for example, outlet 3, you can feed the signal from outlet 3 into the receiver using a LAN cable.
You then connect outlet 3 from the patch panel with another cable to one of the three or four yellow "LAN" ports on the router.

There are specialist electricians who wire LAN double outlets from the office to LAN double outlets in the living room. Additionally, a LAN cable runs from the utility room to the office. They are coiled up behind the installed TAE socket. This was observed at a neighbor’s place.
@TE Somehow first figure out which outlet is wired to where. If in doubt, ask the person who assembled the cable mess.
