Hello,
after the tiling work was completed, we walked through the house and were a bit surprised by some issues.
Now we are not sure if we are just being picky or if the work was really done carelessly. Are these defects fixable and should they be raised with the tiler?
These corner cubes are mostly installed at an angle.
One rail in the photos is also slightly twisted. The grout joints are not parallel in a few places.
And in the last photo, isn’t an internal corner supposed to be mitered?

For us, everything was handled through a construction company, covering all trades. However, we will still have to pay for additional services or extra costs for stainless steel rails and oversized tiles. Therefore, I cannot judge whether this is standard or not. But I assume it is not a premium-priced tiler, as that would be too expensive for the construction company.
Still, one should be able to expect proper and good-quality work from a professional company.
We have not paid the additional invoice yet.

Whether the tiler was paid a premium rate or not was agreed upon between you and your construction company, and the tiler is accountable to them regarding the quality of the work. In any case, it is clear that they did not put much effort into it.
I would recommend identifying the areas that bother you the most for remediation, while remaining willing to compromise.
