Heuristiker23 Nov 2016 11:27Hello everyone,
My partner and I have decided to go for the 3-seater sofa "Tidafors." It has already been ordered. However, after placing the order, I couldn’t resist researching the quality of this upholstered bench online. In the IKEA store, it’s actually not possible to check all the criteria, especially regarding quality.
The thing is, those who have no complaints usually don’t speak up. Still, there are reviews that describe the sofa as having rather poor quality. The seating comfort is said to noticeably decline after one year because the cushion no longer returns to its original shape (it has a so-called memory foam cushion).
What are your experiences with this sofa?
Update: Here is the item in question:

TIDAFORS
3-seater sofa, Hensta grey

IKEA-Freund23 Nov 2016 17:08Hello,
Apart from one review, I found very little information about it. At least Ikea offers a 10-year warranty (conditions apply!). In my opinion, the condition of the furniture in the showroom often reflects its quality, as the display pieces are usually heavily used (unless they have just been set up).
Best regards,
IKEA-Freund

as you have also noticed: There is very little information about the sofa online, and what is available tends to be mostly negative.
Does anyone have experience with this sofa?
Thanks and best regards
