After several years, we are now close to securing our desired plot of land, and for planning purposes, we are already supposed to involve architects.
Since we want to build a thatched roof house, this is proving difficult because even after extensive searches, there are hardly any meaningful responses.
We are looking for a builder with experience in thatched roof houses.
We are located near the southern area of Hamburg.

It’s a pity that the headline cannot be edited: a property developer would be the wrong choice here, what is needed is a general contractor – if any at all.
A thatched roof house is no longer common even in the NDR broadcast area today, so I would rather look for a specialist at the architect level who is still familiar with and capable of this.
After all, this also involves specific features in the roof structure, such as suitable pitches, dormers, and so on.
Perhaps it would help to approach this from the opposite direction: ask specialized roofers which architects they work with.
Have you already checked the cooperation conditions of the development plan / building permit?
