Hi,
I just realized that our solar thermal system for hot water and heating support has not been connected yet.
Our heating has been running continuously for 5 weeks to dry the screed. Wouldn’t it have been more efficient to connect the solar system during this time to save on heating costs?
We have had an electrical connection for a month now but no meter installed yet; currently, everything is running on construction power.
What should we do now? Can I charge the additional heating and electricity costs to our site manager or heating contractor?
Best regards
& thanks

Our heating system is supposed to dry the screed for 10 days, using only the electric heating element. That amounts to several thousand kWh. This makes a difference of hundreds of dollars whether I have a construction electricity tariff or a heat pump tariff.
But before I start thinking about “charging” anything, I will first discuss this with the parties involved.
