Hello User,

what do you think about sliding doors? I imagine they could save a lot of space. Or is that mistaken? What are your thoughts on this?

Thanks for your opinion

I can’t believe that this is really an advantage in terms of space, since the sliding door is also taking up some room.

Besides, it’s definitely much more expensive than a regular door!!

Hi,

what you save with a sliding door is the space needed for the door to swing open. However, you usually don’t place anything in that area anyway. This advantage only really matters if you have a very small room.

If you install a sliding door, you can save a considerable amount of space. It also looks very attractive because you can paint the door so that it blends in seamlessly.

Hi,

I think the problem with the doors is that they are never fully closed and therefore never completely sealed. They have to fit loosely so they can be slid easily, which can never be completely airtight.

That's true, this only works in rooms that are warm and frequently used; otherwise, cold air always comes in through the gaps.
