ᐅ Sliding doors inside the house?

Hello User,

what do you think about sliding doors? I imagine they could save a lot of space. Or is that mistaken? What are your thoughts on this?

I see it differently. A regular door doesn’t just open exactly 90° and then stop. It still blocks space that cannot be used, whether the door is open or not.
A sliding door, possibly with a neat cover, likely needs about 0.1m² (1 sq ft), which I wouldn’t even consider worth planning for.

It’s quite common to feel like the door could have been left out entirely. The crucial moment is when you actually have to close the door. Then having an “opening” becomes really impractical. So be glad you included a door in your plans.
