Hello everyone,
I would like an external sliding door with sound insulation to separate the living/dining area (with open kitchen) from the hallway (with open staircase). The door should be 1m (3.3 ft) wide, see attached photo. What options and suppliers are available for such doors? Has anyone had something like this installed here? I look forward to any tips or advice.

xMisterDx11 Apr 2023 18:28Either you want soundproofing, in which case you need a door. Or you want a sliding door, but then you won’t get good soundproofing. That’s just how it is, unfortunately.
And airtight against odors definitely not.
How often do you need to access the wardrobe? Every minute?
If not, wouldn’t it be reasonable to close the kitchen door the 2 or 3 times a day you use it?
