Hello everyone,

I have been following this forum for a while and I’m amazed at how helpful everyone is here!

I also don’t see an entrance. There is still a basement!

That’s right, you are correct, @ypg. However, I can’t really assess the basement layout at the moment. Although, in this section

you can at least make out an entrance on the right side.

It seems that a significant amount of soil has been piled up in front of the living area on the ground floor.

@Solveigh ... does the basement have to include a separate apartment? Were you aiming for a higher elevation for better views? Would it possibly be an option to omit the basement entirely and start the house about 50 to 100 cm (20 to 40 inches) higher?

Where would the freight elevator be?

@ypg The red area in the upper right corner goes directly through the walk-in closet into the utility room.

1. I don’t understand. I can see it in the drawing, but a freight elevator is still just an elevator – so why are these areas furnished?

2. Elevator or not: the utility room will remain on the north side anyway and has little to do with the kitchen layout, as long as it is easily accessible from the kitchen. Even if the living room and kitchen are swapped, it remains conveniently reachable.

Give it a try.

I really like the idea of the elevator; we have also considered installing something like that.

Hello Solveigh,

I have been following your posts in the picture thread for a while. Unfortunately, your floor plan is no longer available in that thread due to your issues with the neighbors. Could you please share it again? Feel free to send it via private message if you prefer not to share it publicly here.

Best regards!
