Hello, we are quite frustrated.
We can’t seem to find a proper solution for planning our kitchen, where we would also like to include a small dining table with four chairs.

There are 5 people in our household.
Where should the tall cabinets go, where should the passage to the utility room be, and where should the stove and other appliances be placed?

Entrance with a smaller kitchen floor plan including access to the terrace
Entrance with a larger floor plan without access to the terrace.

I agree with @kbt09. The "row of seats" already looks cramped in the picture. If someone sitting in the middle wants to get up during the meal, everyone up to the edge has to stand as well; otherwise, there's no way to get out. You really can't seriously want that in a house of this size!

I would make some changes to the utility room and then arrange the kitchen roughly like this.

Fixed glazing facing the dining table and possibly a glass door, which would mostly remain open anyway.

Floor plan of a house: hallway, staircase, bathroom, WC, kitchen, living and dining room, terrace.

You don’t seem to be open to a complete fresh start.

The kitchen cabinet planning is completely unrealistic; the room is not wide enough, and 4 people sit side by side every day for all meals, with the 5th person at the short end?

You don’t seem to be open to a radical fresh start.
That looks good. But what do you mean by radical fresh start?
The house is already fully optimized, and I can’t imagine it being designed differently given the requirements we have.
Would the design improve if the entrance is placed centrally at the front?

Check your other post. You’re not responding there anymore, even though you were advised to start over. Have you taken a look at my example?

A brief note from the side: personally, I find the kitchen too small and would remove the dining table to enlarge the kitchen instead. I understand your desire to have a casual dining spot there, but without a basement, you only have the utility room and storage closet for extra storage. We also have a utility room of your size, and the two of us have filled it completely.

After accounting for heating and other installations, you can still gain good space with well-arranged cabinets, but of course, you need to store a lot of items there. For us, that includes suitcases, spare tiles, inline skates, camping equipment, drinks, pantry supplies, warranty boxes, tools, cleaning supplies, washing machine, dryer, etc. Such a utility room fills up quite quickly. With five people, you easily have twice as much of everything.

All the kitchen items you need can never fit into such a small kitchenette. That means you will have to store many of those items in the utility room. We therefore planned the kitchen to be larger, with plenty of storage space in the kitchen island. That would personally be more important to me, especially since you already have a large dining table.

Edit: I just noticed you have a relatively large attic. Of course, you can store a lot there. But kitchen items might still be better kept within easy reach.
