ᐅ Shower installation completed, but water is pooling in the drain.

Hello everyone,

The final inspection took place in December. Our daughter has now removed the drain plug from our shower, which has never been used for showering since the shower walls are still missing. I was very surprised to find water inside. The same is true for the guest bathroom. Is this normal? I had assumed that water in the shower should always drain away. It’s only the drain; the shower tray is dry. I would really appreciate an answer.

If there were no water under the cover, it would smell. The drain essentially has the trap integrated.
