trudelshuhn27 Apr 2014 12:24Three years ago, I installed plank-style wood look tiles on my balcony. They are starting to show signs of aging. My question is: how should I maintain them? Do they need to be oiled? If so, with what? And how can I remove the discoloration caused by a flowerpot?

Cleaning: Use a mild soapy solution.
Maintenance: Regular care extends the product’s lifespan. When you notice color changes, a dry surface, or fine cracks, it’s time to apply a wood glaze.
IKEA offers VÅRDA wood glaze for outdoor use, brown. However, it has a strong odor.
Stains from flower pots might only be removable by sanding.

thank you. I will look out for the glaze. I had rather thought you would use an oil, like the kind for teak furniture or solid wood countertops.

IKEA-Experte27 Apr 2014 20:00I would choose SKYDD, but it is not what is generally recommended.
