Hello,

due to the announcement of a very windy weekend, I’m wondering whether you raise or lower your roller shutters.
So far, I’ve always kept them down. They do rattle a bit then. Since the upcoming storm is expected to be even stronger, I’m considering whether it might be better to raise them. Opinions online are mixed.
What do you do? Good luck, and I hope everything stays safe for you 🙂

Partly down, partly up. At the top to let in light in case of a power outage.

... it depends on the material. Leave sturdy roller shutters down; pull up plastic blinds.

Living room completely taken down. Aluminum roller shutters on the outside. The fixed glazing was already bulging out – but it is also an exposed facade. Otherwise, everything above as usual.
Wind gusts at about 110 km/h (68 mph)

So far, only up to 50 km/h (31 mph) here. All roller shutters are closed as usual.

It's pouring cats and dogs, the wind is howling and blasting, and I'm glad we don’t have any roller shutters. We’ve laid everything flat outside, secured or brought indoors.
