Hello,
due to the announcement of a very windy weekend, I’m wondering whether you raise or lower your roller shutters.
So far, I’ve always kept them down. They do rattle a bit then. Since the upcoming storm is expected to be even stronger, I’m considering whether it might be better to raise them. Opinions online are mixed.
What do you do? Good luck, and I hope everything stays safe for you 🙂

We always fully open the weather protection. It’s hard to say if it withstands wind loads better than glass. But from a cost and safety perspective, I’d rather have a branch caught in the shutter than in the window glass. With the next category (tree), it wouldn’t matter anyway.

Well, now only a tall fir tree and a chestnut tree remain (which fortunately diverted the falling trees away from the house ….
Man, man, man, it looks really bad …. 6 m (20 feet) of fence is also ruined.
Does the building insurance also cover the removal of the trees?

Does the building insurance also cover the removal of trees? This can even be done for free. If the insurance does not cover it, you just have to give up the wood.B
