Good day everyone,
I have a small problem with my “wall” counter.
I got a 3.75m (12.3 ft) long plywood board (0.40m (16 inches) wide) plus 4 steel brackets, which should normally be enough. Yesterday, I leaned on it and the brackets immediately pulled out of the wall. I used sx6x4.5 Fischer anchors (3 per bracket). I drilled into the masonry, but maybe not deep enough?!?
Unfortunately, larger screws don’t fit the brackets. Should I use longer screws and anchors now, or does anyone have an idea which anchors would hold better in the softer plaster?

Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Marcel

Hello!!
First, I would suggest using different anchors (8mm) and secondly, longer screws… Now there are a few options. The first would be to drill larger holes for the brackets so bigger screws can fit through, or secondly, return the brackets and exchange them for different ones.
An important question for you would be: what type of masonry do you have?

Best regards 😉

What are the dimensions of the angle brackets?
