Hello dear IKEA fans!
We are looking for a new sofa set for our new apartment. Although we were almost set on the Arild, we started having doubts about its comfort and long-term seating experience. The low backs of the Arild look “stylish,” but the question is how comfortable it really is for lounging around. 😀
Now we have noticed the Älvros series and I have a few questions about it:
- Does anyone here own a sofa or armchair from this series and can comment on its quality?
- I have seen various videos on YouTube (including IKEA commercials) showing Älvros sofas with adjustable features or a pull-out footrest. I couldn’t find any of these options on the German IKEA website. Are these options no longer available in Germany?
- I am a bit heavier (~140kg (310 lbs)) and would like to know how sturdy the sofas are.
- How sensitive is the leather, especially the lighter version? Are there any experiences regarding that?
- Is it known who manufactures the sofas for IKEA?
Perhaps some of you can answer a few of these questions. I would really appreciate it! 🙂
