Hello community,
we are currently planning our kitchen and find the lift system from Ninka called Qanto very interesting.

Does anyone have this system installed and can provide feedback on whether this investment is worthwhile?

It would also be interesting to know if there are other systems available or DIY setups, possibly using TV lifts?

We looked into something like that, but I’m not sure if it was exactly the same.
I’m a fan of technical gadgets, but I just found it impractical. Way too slow.
I don’t know the cost side, but also consider the additional work for the electrical installation and the cutout in the countertop. Especially with stone or ceramic, that’s not cheap either.

You’re asking if it’s “worth it,” meaning economically. If you look at the purchase price mentioned earlier plus additional costs and compare that to the “gained” (which is missing below) space, the answer can only be no.

What exactly is this thing supposed to solve? Having a clean kitchen (which is kind of pointless—only people who keep their kitchen for show instead of actually using it have that) or not having to take things out of the cabinet and put them away (=comfort)? The latter can’t be the case either, given the waiting time involved.

I don’t want “2 minutes.”

15 seconds to fully extend, according to the specifications....

That has absolutely no practical use.
Far too slow and not enough space.
The panel isn’t even sealed properly at that point anymore.
Overall, just a crazy idea.

It reminds me of those beer coolers dug into the ground.
At least that’s funny and clearly much cheaper.

What would bother me is that the countertop would no longer be continuous. Crumbs and similar debris tend to accumulate in every joint, no matter how small.

It also seems like you have to hold a button for 15 seconds even to shut it down. By that time, the pot is already out of the basement.

Sorry, but even if it were given to me for free, I wouldn’t want it for the reasons mentioned. What bothers me the most are these extra dirt traps. If something spills, you even have to disassemble the whole thing to clean it thoroughly.

There’s hardly anything to say about this... Waiting 15 seconds for it to open and close... Kitchens are supposed to be designed for practicality, but this thing kills any workflow... Also, it’s prone to dirt... A totally pointless device.
