I need your help.
Yesterday, I tried to apply for the IKEA payment card on the IKEA website. Everything went fine as I followed the process until the application was supposed to be reviewed.
I entered a credit limit of €1,000 (about $1,100). For the payment option, I chose the one where you pay a certain percentage of your balance each month, with a minimum of 3%. I selected 10% and entered that amount.
I completed the rest of the form, and then the application was supposed to be reviewed. But I received a message saying that my application could not be reviewed or printed because the interest rate is higher than the payment amount 😕. The message also said that if this error persists, I should contact a certain phone number.
Am I misunderstanding something here, or is this a system error? It says the minimum is 3%, and I went with 10%.
Am I doing something wrong? I tried different credit limits and repayment percentages, but I always got the same message.
I’m feeling a bit silly filling out this application and hope someone here can advise me.
