Hello.
We are looking for a supplier of precast concrete garages as a large single garage with one door.
Has anyone here had such a garage built or installed?
Which supplier did you use? What were the costs?
So far, we have shortlisted two "affordable" companies with quotes around 16,000 euros each. Three other quotes range from 18,000 to 25,000 euros.
We want one door with two remote controls, an electrical package with several sockets, two light fixtures, no door and no window. Everything in white. Roof coating, sectional door, M-rib Woodgrain finish, automatic door opener, and drainage included. Delivery and installation on strip foundations supplied by us.
Looking forward to tips and recommendations...
Have a nice evening...

I have received additional quotes of €12,000 and €13,000. However, these are for 2 garages with openings in the shared middle wall. Does anyone have experience with this? Is it more practical to have 2 doors (with the middle wall included in the door), or is it better to invest an extra €3,000–4,000 to be able to drive into the garage more easily (1 large door)?

From a practical point of view, it is probably better to have just "1" garage. Later on, you will regret saving those "few" euros.

I’m not sure if I fully understand the question. But even with a double garage, you can only park one car in one side at a time. That’s why we chose the solution with two doors (each garage has its own door, but the garages are connected inside). I can share my experience in a year or two, but only with this option.

One advantage of this option is that when driving in, you always have two reference points.

I am glad with my double garage (internal dimensions 6x6 m (20x20 ft)) with a large door and no internal wall.
There I can also
  • park a car in the middle (e.g., for cleaning or tire changes)
  • store larger items temporarily
  • move the garden party inside temporarily in case of rain
  • etc.

In addition, I think it looks better.
