Hello
I need some help or tips on how to connect the paving to our timber house.
As you can see in the picture, we have a timber house. The green part is the insulation for the concrete slab, which will be plastered (height about 25cm (10 inches)).
How should I connect the paving here? Directly to the base (concrete slab), but then the paving might end up somewhat high. In case of snow during winter, I don’t want the wood to be "in the snow"! Or should the paving be laid with some distance from the concrete slab and then fill the gap with gravel or something like that, or is there another recommended method?
I’m grateful for any tips!!

For this, a dimpled membrane is laid out and a gravel strip is created. Along the edge, usually with curbs, paving is then done.
