ᐅ Planning vertical waterproofing/insulation for the foundation slab/base area

IppebsonHello everyone,
I am currently considering which building material should be used to seal or insulate the base slab and the lower "plinth area" of the masonry.
Our construction is as follows, from bottom to top, and we have no basement:
- Strip footings
- Ground slab
- Waterproof membrane under the first layer of masonry
- Masonry made of calcium silicate blocks on top of the waterproof membrane
- On the exterior: bitumen primer and waterproof membrane applied from the middle of the ground slab up 60cm (24 inches) against rising damp
A 16cm (6 inch) external thermal insulation composite system (ETICS) is planned.
What is the best way to solve this? How did you handle it, and what are your experiences?
I am looking forward to helpful posts.
Good luck

To be fair, this topic is not straightforward and carries a high risk of damage. Ideally, your construction supervisor would work out the technical details for you.
Amateur input:
The insulation should extend down to the undisturbed soil—at least based on what I know from section drawings without a basement. Additionally, floor-to-ceiling window units require special consideration, for example, regarding the panels you mentioned in the other thread.

Because threads in the "lower" forums obviously go unread. Less than 15 minutes later, there's a first reply "up here." That is nonsense; new posts are shown to every user regardless of the supposed "hierarchy" of the forums.
I have just deleted the second thread.

Regards, BauexperteBut the reality shows something different...
Even if you probably don’t like to hear that.
Are there any technical posts left?
