Hello,
We will soon be building a house in the Lower Rhine region, and we are looking for an expert who can help us with the decision-making and planning of a highly energy-efficient house. Friends recommended the company Eukon from Krefeld (which fits quite well :eek ), but they have no personal experience themselves and only know the company through others (colleagues at work or so). Has anyone had any experience with this company? Please share your thoughts. This is quite important to us.
Thank you!

at a reasonable price Take a look at what prices are being asked for the desired house size with average specifications. The higher your personal budget is above this, the more you can exceed the current standard (Energy Saving Ordinance 2016 = basically ex KfW 70). The more you want to be a pioneer (low energy, zero energy, plus energy), the more it will cost—often multiple times above average.

We don’t want a general contractor. They just rip you off anyway. Specialists for “especially energy efficient” solutions usually charge even more than the general contractors who offer everything from a single source.

We’d rather work with someone independent. Google “magic triangle”: your wishes are achievable, but not all at the same time. You want the provider to be independent, you’d prefer to name a “company,” but it shouldn’t be a general contractor. Independent planners do exist, but they aren’t the builders too. You’ll find plenty of talkers everywhere—and among self-proclaimed specialists, even more—but after two filtering stages (“hic Rhodos, hic salta” and “but please affordable,” regardless of order or priority of these filters) you end up with an empty set.
I can only agree with several previous contributors: be clear about what you want and your budget—define the “special energy saving” you mean by name—otherwise the question remains vague, and every answer can only be disappointing.

Heat pump with solar,At least most people here probably already have a heat pump. What exactly is solar supposed to add in this setup...? Sorry, I forgot. You don’t want to specify your decision any further, so whether KFW 70 is sufficient or if a better target should be aimed for apparently doesn’t need to be clarified either...

particularly energy-efficient house Passive house or KfW 40? The investment costs more than the savings compared to KfW 55... but even the 2016 energy saving regulation is energy efficient. Truly energy efficient.

We would rather hire someone independent. An architect also has companies they get along with well or not so well.

We want someone knowledgeable and competent who tells us what’s best. Then go to an energy consultant.

I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF THIS COMPANY IS ANY GOOD!!!! Which one? None was mentioned! And please don’t shout here.

Heat pump with solar, for example. You’re talking about a truly efficient house and solar?
Maybe you should first get familiar with this forum, read some basic information (wherever), and then post your question in the appropriate subforum.
Because: we’ve had the energy saving regulation for about a decade now... the term from around the turn of the millennium, “energy-saving house,” is already outdated... so your question about an energy-efficient house is somewhat amusing. Unfortunately, it’s also a shame how you lost your temper in post #21.

nordanney7 Dec 2019 08:35I just took a look at Eukon’s website – you only want some basic information about the company, and all other details don’t matter to you.
In my opinion, Eukon is not a particularly remarkable company. It’s basically a KfW/BAFA-type firm, like thousands of others. No special focus on specific energy efficiency methods – at least I don’t see any notable experience with passive houses. Energy consultants and MEP planners (although you don’t need the latter).
What kind of energy efficiency are you looking for in a planner?
The planner also needs to coordinate professionally with your architect or work together with the general contractor (a general contractor, by the way, is also just a tradesperson who does what you instruct. Just like the structural builder, roofer, or electrician. I don’t understand your reservations; if the architect designs, the general contractor can implement the plans).
