Hello,

During the assembly of the Pax/Komplement drawers, I am unclear about the purpose of one component. It is a small white plastic piece that is supposed to be attached to the front bottom of each rail.

It is described on the last page of the manual (page 8).

As I understand the instructions, the part is inserted from underneath into a hole in the drawer and then turned 90°. However, in this position, the part does not feel secure at all and will most likely fall out eventually.

What is the function of this part and how is it correctly installed?

Thank you

Hello,

As you described, that is correct. It’s true that it fits loosely, but it won’t fall out. I thought the same about my cabinets at first, but it never happened.
The part is designed to prevent the drawer from being accidentally pushed upward and coming out, or (if it’s not properly engaged) being fully pulled out, which could cause injury.

Hello,

thanks, it is reassuring that others have left it like this as well.

However, I doubt that this part actually prevents the drawer from being pushed up and removed.

Hi,

Of course, if you pull up on the drawer with full force, you will eventually break the plastic part or bend it enough so that the drawer still comes out.

But that’s not how it’s used, and at least here, it holds up.
