ᐅ Painting a Wooden Carport Structure

Hello, we have received a quote for a carport (timber construction). The company would apply a Caparol product once before and once after assembly. We will inquire about the exact product details.
What type of coating would you recommend and why? Reapplying the coating later will be difficult since the carport is located between the neighbor’s garage and our own house wall.

Whether you choose Caparol, Consolan, Brillux, or Jotun... nothing lasts forever. A tricky spot for a wooden part that needs some care from time to time. It’s softwood after all. True, larch is naturally weather-resistant but only turns gray over time. However, larch does cost quite a bit.
