Hi everyone!
I’m going to start renovating my office tomorrow. So far, I have always bought everything from IKEA. However, I’m unsure about office chairs. I’m looking for a chair that is as back-friendly as possible. Can you recommend one? Do such chairs even exist?
I would really appreciate any quick help.

I have an office chair from IKEA and I’m very happy with it. I don’t know much about ergonomics, but I think the chairs are pretty good...
best regards

Hello
Shortly after it appeared in the German range, I bought the office chair "Markus." At the time, I thought it was a real bargain at a price of 169 EUR (about 179 USD).
After about a year, things slowly started to change. The top layer of the armrest padding began to peel off and crumble.
Ikea did offer me a goodwill replacement, which I never went through with. (The nearest Ikea in Germany is about 100 km (62 miles) away.) It wasn’t really a big deal and didn’t significantly affect how I used the chair.
After some time, the lumbar support detached on one side. I considered using just the base and attaching another seat to it. But since nothing fit right off the bat, I never got beyond the planning phase.
Fortunately.
Now the mechanism has finally failed.
Sure, the durability clearly exceeds the legally required 2 years.
But I have higher expectations for furniture. These were well met by all my other Ikea furniture.
Only this chair is simply junk.

Shortly after it appeared in the product range in Germany, I bought the office chair "Markus." At that time, I considered it a real bargain at a price of 169 euros (approximately $180).
After about a year, things started to change slowly. The top layer of the armrest padding began to peel off and crumble.
At Ikea, they did offer me a goodwill replacement, which I never took up. (The next Ikea store in Germany is about 100 km (62 miles) away.) It wasn’t really bad and didn’t significantly affect its use.
After some time, the lumbar support detached on one side, and I thought about just using the base frame and attaching a different chair seat. But since nothing fit right at first, I never got beyond the planning stage.
Fortunately.
Just now, the mechanism of the chair gave out.
Sure, the durability is clearly beyond the legally required 2 years.
But I have higher expectations for furniture. All my other Ikea furniture has met those well.
Only this chair is simply junk.Apparently, that really was a bad buy. So, what chair do you have now? I just moved and am looking for a good office chair, but it’s proving to be difficult.
