Hello fellow IKEA fans!

During a visit to an IKEA in the Netherlands, I tried sitting on Nockeby sofas and found the cushions on the seats and backs to be firmer than those at the IKEA in Germany.

Of course, this could simply be because the Nockebys I sat on in the German IKEA were more worn, but I had the impression that this was the case across all sofas in each store—NL sofas felt firmer than those in Germany—and probably not all of them were equally "worn out."

There are some country-specific differences in IKEA products, so does anyone know if this also applies to the firmness of the cushions on the Nockeby?

Or does anyone know how I could find this out?

Buying one and hoping that the display models in Germany were just more worn isn’t very practical. Returning a sofa is quite an effort. I really want the firmer cushions.

Best regards!

Hello,

if the properties are different, the item numbers should also be different.

Hello,
Thank you for the hint!

However, the item numbers appear to be the same... So there can be no difference between the products? Does IKEA-NL actually deliver to Germany as well (in case I want to be completely sure)?

If there are multiple manufacturers, small differences cannot be completely ruled out. The manufacturers can also vary within a single country, and it is a matter of chance which one you get.
Delivery abroad is not available unless you purchase it, for example, in Heerlen and live within the delivery area.

I do not live in the Heerlen delivery area.
I will probably first test in a showroom at another IKEA in Germany. Then I will order here or, if necessary, drive over to the Netherlands with a large vehicle.

Thanks again!!
