Hello IKEA fans,

I have installed an EDSVIK mixer tap in my kitchen and now want to buy an under-sink water heater. I am not very knowledgeable about technical details and would like to ask you:

Does this statement
..
The mixer tap is suitable for pressure systems. Tested for water pressure up to 10 bar (1000 kPa). Recommended operating pressure: 1.0–5.0 bar (100–500 kPa).

mean that this faucet is a so-called low-pressure tap? The water heater I am considering requires a low-pressure tap.
Does anyone know if I can connect this water heater to my mixer tap?
That would be great!
Thanks and best regards,

Hello,
that means you cannot use it. You need a faucet for non-pressurized systems. Alternatively, instead of the open hot water storage tank, use a pressurized one. Or a pressurized tankless water heater.

Hi,

I am looking for a suitable faucet at IKEA for a sink with a 5-liter (1.3 gallon) boiler (non-pressurized and three hoses). Unfortunately, we bought Sundvik without considering that there are differences. When browsing faucets online at IKEA, I can't find the relevant specifications. Can anyone help?

Blue and yellow regards – S.

Hi, unfortunately IKEA does not offer low-pressure mixer taps in their range.
You will need to get them elsewhere.
Have a nice evening...
