Hello, unfortunately, due to budget constraints, we only opted for electric shutters on the large windows.
Now we have noticed that the manual roller mechanisms are very noisy. It’s not the shutters themselves, but the belt guides, especially the upper ones.
At acquaintances’ houses, I noticed they had brushes there which seemed to provide some sound dampening. In our case, everything is very loud, so you can hear throughout the whole house whenever a shutter is opened or closed, even very carefully.
The window installer downplays it, saying "that's just how it is."
We are not willing to accept this. Does anyone know a SOLUTION; IS IT POSSIBLE TO RETROFIT SOMETHING?
Thank you.

I’ll try to help you here.
Generally, I would say that the evaluation of noise from roller shutters is subjective. However, since you find it very disturbing, there is clearly a certain noise level present. The fact that roller shutters with strap guides are louder than those with motor drive is natural. This is because the tubular motor is located inside the shutter box, and modern motors are very well ball-bearing mounted, making them run very smoothly. Apart from the cable connected to the building’s electrical system, there is no connection to the interior.
This is different with strap operation, as there are many moving parts involved, such as the wheel on top of the roller shutter shaft, the strap through-guide, and the small strap winder that takes up the strap.
Overall, I would recommend trying to upgrade to higher-quality strap guides and strap winders (available at hardware stores, etc.), since these components can sometimes be faulty and not run smoothly. If that doesn’t achieve the desired effect, I would consider gradually converting to electric drive.
