ScubaDiver24 Mar 2021 21:23Hello everyone,
we are currently building a single-family home and are now considering the color of the external blinds and roller shutters. On the ground floor, we have external blinds, and on the upper floor, regular roller shutters. We really like the idea of having both the roller shutters and external blinds in anthracite. However, we often read about the significant heat buildup between the window and the roller shutter when anthracite is used. In some cases, it is even said that this could damage the windows and cause the roller shutters to warp.
Do you have any experience with this? Are there any other disadvantages?
Thank you very much for your opinions and experiences.

We even have paving stones in anthracite, and the wall that holds back the slope as well as the basement level protruding from the slope are anthracite. As nice as it looks and as much as we like it, it gets much warmer than lighter surfaces. When the sun shines on it in summer, you can burn your hands or feet.

It also occasionally creaks during the day and in the evening/night as it cools down. The neighbor’s external venetian blinds also rattle, even in aluminum color 😉S
