Hello everyone, I am looking for an air-to-water heat pump with around 12 kW heating capacity that is also eligible for funding. I am confused about the LWDV 91-1/3 HDV 12 and HSDV 12 models from Alpha Innotec. Do they actually have a 12 kW heating capacity or not? They are basically the same as Novelan, and there is no clear information there either.

Are there any professionals in the forum who are familiar with this?

Good luck

The devices are recommended for the following total building performance requirement:
LWDV 91-1/3 = 6-11 kW (20,500–37,500 BTU/h)

This immediately raises a question. What kind of building do you have that requires such a high heating load?

Two-family house with 415 m² (4464 sq ft).
How can I calculate the heating load myself? The heating engineer does not provide a definite figure.

Try using the Crinks heating load tool. You will need the energy saving regulation calculation or appropriate data about the insulation. The result can be used for sizing the heat pump, but not for designing the heating surfaces.

I found the tool. When I enter the values and set the desired average temperature to 23 degrees Celsius (73°F), I get 7.2 kW.
Hmm, that feels rather low.
Maybe I entered the wrong values. 0.16 for the energy quality of the building envelope H’T should be correct.

An H'T of 0.16 is approaching passive house standards?
