Sebastian793 Mar 2016 10:03Hello everyone,
we are a bit overwhelmed by the sheer number of lighting options, as it’s been quite difficult to find something suitable.
In the living and dining area, we have 6 wall lights, in the ground floor hallway another 4, and 2 on each stair landing.
At least in the living/dining area, I would like to have matching lamps, but I wouldn’t mind if all the lamps were the same.
In the hallway, we also have downlights installed in the concrete ceiling, in the living room there is a ceiling outlet, and of course there is lighting at the dining table, so none of the lamps necessarily need to be for bright, festive lighting.
It’s important that all of them (except possibly on the stairs) are dimmable, and ideally use replaceable bulbs – but that’s not a requirement.
We would really appreciate a few tips.

Sebastian793 Mar 2016 10:11Yeah, thanks – I’ve already ordered two lamps from them. The only issue was that the delivery times were a disaster every time. Their prices were always unbeatable – for our recessed floor lamp in the living room, some wanted nearly double the price.
Of course, it’s a matter of personal taste, but maybe someone here has a great tip.

This style is quite specific in terms of taste, but I’d like to suggest something like this:
You can even build these parts yourself fairly easily if you’re interested. The advantage: it’s relatively inexpensive, and you’re hardly limited by the shape or design. All you need are the appropriate fittings, some wiring, and a few lamp sockets.
You can find quite a bit on Google under the term “steampunk lamp.”

Just got back from buying lamps again (3 years after moving in).
We still don’t have a living room lamp and, until today, we were missing a wall lamp above the bed that can provide either indirect light or reading light.
We finally solved the second problem today. We chose a 53 cm (21 inches) long Honsel Pare (18.9W LED, 1800 lumens, 3000K), which can be rotated upwards for indirect light or downwards for reading. It was also important to us that the lamp has its own switch. I’m so relieved that this is finally done.
Hopefully, the living room lamp issue will be resolved by the 4th anniversary of moving in as well.
