Hello everyone,

During the bathroom planning, the question now is which shower fixture to choose. Currently, we have a multifunction shower in our apartment, meaning a fixed overhead showerhead with a handheld shower on the side, and I really like that setup. I would like to install something similar in our house. The shower belongs to the landlord, the model is not identifiable, and it is a bit older. I have been looking around and found some great shower systems from Gro***.

The problem is that I really dislike low water pressure, and having to spend ages rinsing out shampoo. It’s just a matter of preference, but I need a strong water flow!

So my question before visiting a plumbing supply store tomorrow: do you have experience with multifunction showers from Gro***, and do they deliver a good, strong water stream?

Thanks!

We have a Raindance Select from Hans Grohe installed in both bathrooms. I also want a good water pressure when showering. I can’t stand a weak trickle.

We also chose the Raindance Select S (240mm (9.5 inches) round and 300mm (12 inches) rectangular). It delivers a lot of water (17 liters per minute is specified for the 240mm version – which is accurate). However, a good water flow depends more on your hot water system than on the showerhead itself. Our old gas combi boiler struggled a bit with it. With the new heating system in our new house, everything works much better.

Good morning,

My husband and I have always been very satisfied with the Raindance series from Hansgrohe. Personally, I find the round faucet much more attractive than the square one, which we used until recently. In my experience, the water from the round showerhead feels more concentrated and gentler on the skin. A special highlight is, of course, if you have a tiled and masonry shower and install jets in the side walls. Then you can manually choose whether you want to be showered only from above or skip washing your hair sometimes ) … Of course, it’s all a bit of unnecessary luxury, that’s clear.

Wow, you all seem really enthusiastic about the Raindance!

What I forgot to mention, however, is that we need to install this in the main bathroom’s bathtub. Unfortunately, a separate shower doesn’t fit in the space. The models I have seen from Hansgrohe so far appear to be designed solely for shower use and don’t seem to allow connection to a bathtub faucet. Or have I missed something?

In the guest bathroom, though, I could definitely imagine using it!

Hello

then there is also the option, to stick with H....G...., to work with 2 x I-boxes.
One built-in thermostat and one valve for three outlets. This way,
a rainfall showerhead, a handheld shower, and the bathtub filler are possible as a Multiplex Trio.
