I agree: the shown floor plan doesn’t resemble the usual approach of presenting a house with a designated or “leftover” space for a kitchen and then asking for suggestions or votes on options A, B, or C. Instead, it seems as if someone first envisioned a kitchen layout and then designed the house around it. This method certainly promises a unique planning experience—but does that apply to the entire house as well, or might the more conventional approach be more effective here?

We also have a U-shaped kitchen, and it’s perfect! Anything else wouldn’t have worked space-wise, or the kitchen would have ended up being just a kitchen with space around it.

But I agree when it comes to the toilet...
