Hello everyone,
We are currently in the quotation phase of our construction project.
We have received an offer from a local general contractor who also provides a precast concrete garage.
The item is as follows:
Rekers XXL Garage RF 580 A, 2.98m x 8.00m (9.8ft x 26.2ft), with 1 door, 1 window, electrical package, 1 electric sectional door, including foundation and drainage.
The cost is 16,260€.
Is this price reasonable? It seems a bit high to me.
Thanks for your feedback and best regards!

The wall structure is vapor-permeable, although the carpenter said this is not crucial; the paved floor and the small openings are enough.
One of my neighbors, besides having vapor-permeable walls, also paved the floor and installed two opposing openings of the same size (15x15 cm (6x6 inches)). Everything has been fine for eight years. His timber-frame garage convinced me, especially the paved floor, which prevents puddles in winter.

If it can be concrete, Rekers, 6 by 3 meters (20 by 10 feet), second door at the back, no extras otherwise, 7200 foundation 800,-, electrical installation included, friend discount if paid in cash, I won't say the amount, aluminum cladding around the parapet and a silicone coating, 600,-. That makes 8600,- gross. The Rekers garage is made with quality. Karsten

6 by 3 meters (20 by 10 feet) would have been great. Here is our super messed-up garage that we are not allowed to change anymore:
I find the prices completely exaggerated; I could have masonry work done for that money. I think they add a few thousand on top for the fact that it was custom designed and not based on their standard sizes.
I know that from Kemmler you can get a large garage of about 5.50 by 6.50 meters (18 by 21 feet) for around 23k, including foundations and green roof. Charging double for just 15 square meters (160 square feet) more is, in my opinion, a bit cheeky.
