ᐅ Is it possible for a non-professional to spray walls and ceilings? Any experiences?

We want to paint our house ourselves.
Now I’m wondering whether to go the traditional route with a roller throughout the whole house or if it might make sense to invest around 600 EUR in an airless sprayer to save a significant amount of time.
Masking tape is necessary for both methods anyway.
Has anyone here done this before and gained experience?
Would you do it the same way again or rather not?

And regarding the paint color... would regular hardware store paint (Alpina) work, or does it have to be special airless paint?
I assume you need to thin any paint... Use high-quality paint, you won’t want anything else afterward. Good paint does not need to be thinned.

Buy the device, use it, and then return it.

You are reading too much into it.
We wanted to paint the entire house and bought materials for it. The salesperson tried to push this product on us but mentioned that they had no personal experience with it. They offered to let us test it and return it if we didn’t like it. After trying it in the hallway, we painted the rest in the usual way. So nothing about a bad customer or an unfortunate retailer.

Then that works.
