Hello,
we are about to choose our interior doors soon and are considering brands like Jeld-Wen, Herholz, Prüm, Hörmann, and others.
We want simple white-painted doors, possibly with a few "design" stripes, and have noticed that every manufacturer offers something like this.
Therefore, we’re quite unsure which manufacturer to go for. Visually and quality-wise, they all seem to offer similar products. Should we just focus on the price? Technical details such as sound insulation ratings, weight, etc., are difficult to find online.
For example, Jeld-Wen offers the same door model in different thicknesses (43mm (1.7 inches) and 39mm (1.5 inches)): Lombardo and Lucera. But beyond that, there isn’t much more information to help decide between the two.
Can you provide any tips?

Hello Tom,
surely many German manufacturers cannot compete with the price-performance ratio in Poland. So if you don’t mind the long transport, or if the garden and doors don’t become expensive again because of delivery times or shipping fees, it is definitely a good choice.
For flush-closing doors, there are two things to consider: installation is more complex because every millimeter will be visible later on, so these doors also need to be regularly adjusted. The sound insulation is also somewhat more difficult to maintain in the long term due to the flush door design.
Perfectly installed and regularly maintained, however, you will have a real eye-catcher thanks to the continuous shadow gap.
Best regards and enjoy your doors and frames.

We will get the door from Inter Door. It is a Polish manufacturer of high-end quality. It was important for us that the door is flush with the frame and has a magnetic lock. Here is an example (see picture). What is the budget?
A coworker recently had some doors delivered from Turkey for his house, and including installation, he paid around 400 euros per door. They are painted with a groove.
Of course, the truck delivery was not free, but about 200 m² (2,150 sq ft) of tiles and various other furniture were also delivered. Visually, from the pictures, they are just as good as German products.

Best regards and enjoy your doors and frames. Thank you very much for the clarification. Installation and delivery will be carried out by the seller. It is a larger company that also has at least one retail branch in Germany. We also showed the doors from the supplier to our general contractor. The selection was quite small, and those we liked had an additional charge of about €1,000 (approximately $1,100) per door.
Costs are about €400 (approximately $440) per door, including installation and delivery. Before that, the manager will come and take measurements prior to ordering. We will also get these entrance doors. The total cost is about €5,000 (approximately $5,500).

@Tom1978: What has your experience been with the doors from Inter Door? I checked them online and they look very good, but I only found the website in Polish and no contact information in Germany. How did you order the doors… do you have a contact person?
Thanks in advance, best regards,
Thomas
