ᐅ IKEA Yttran – The single-lever mixer feels a bit loose – is this normal?

Hello,
we recently replaced our kitchen mixer tap and installed the YTTRAN mixer tap/kitchen, chrome-plated – without pull-out hose.
So far, so good, but there is one question:
Is it normal for the YTTRAN mixer lever, which moves from cold to hot, to have a slight wobble or *play*? The YTTRAN can be moved slightly from side to side when touched and moved sideways. Not much, but noticeable. I have never experienced this with any other faucet before.
We previously had a Grohe faucet, which was only installed for a short time and then sold because it had a relatively high spout that we did not like in hindsight. That mixer lever was firmly fixed with no play.
Can anyone share their experience with this YTTRAN mixer lever?
And a further question:
If I want to replace the YTTRAN faucet, how does that work? I can’t just remove it first and take it to IKEA, can I? Do they give you a faucet first, and then you return the old one within a few days?
Thank you very much for any advice.

The Grohe faucet just arrived. The quality difference is already significant, even before installation. The IKEA YTTRAN was an impulsive purchase after the Grohe with the high spout we had installed before caused too much splashing, precisely because of the high spout.
The YTTRAN looked good, but unfortunately, that was about it.
It should also be noted that the mixer lever of the YTTRAN is nowhere near as smooth as that of the Grohe.
Well, it was an experiment that could have worked out well.
The Grohe will be installed shortly, and the YTTRAN will be returned.
Best regards

IKEA-Freund4 Mar 2017 12:06I would personally prefer to source my fittings from established manufacturers, especially with regard to long-term availability of spare parts.

As mentioned several times before, our faucets have always been from Grohe. We have never had any issues with them, not even close.
We hadn’t considered that the Grohe with the high C-shaped spout would spray water. This is inherent to the design and cannot be changed.
The Yttran impressed us with its design and the 10-year warranty. The price was fairly moderate.
So... it was worth a try.
For the cost of our current Grohe, we could have gotten four Yttrans. But in the long run, Grohe is definitely the better investment, no question.
Ikea is great for many things, but I would never buy faucets from there again.
Best regards

The new Grohe is installed and works perfectly. It instantly upgrades our Ikea kitchen, well, just kidding.
It’s simply good, as expected.
