Hello everyone,

After moving, we purchased a new IKEA kitchen and had it assembled by IKEA / Hermes. After a few somewhat bumpy follow-up adjustments, everything is now in place, and we are quite satisfied with the final result. However, there is a small issue that I would prefer not to have a Hermes furniture assembler come back for, as that would take weeks again.

We have four 40cm (15.7 inches) Utrusta LED strips on the wall cabinets, along with the Omlopp cabinet lighting. Occasionally, the middle two, or one of the middle strips, do not turn on. Please see the attached image.

Can anyone give me advice on how to troubleshoot this? Are these easy to replace yourself and exchange at IKEA? Could it just be a loose connection, so I don’t need to replace anything?

Best regards,

Arne

Hello,
have you tried resetting the remote control and the lights?

Hello, we are experiencing the exact same problem with some Utrusta LEDs; three of them have stopped working, and overall we have two that still work. They were practically new and installed by Hermes on July 13th. From phone photos, I can see that first one stopped working, and then about a day later two more failed. I didn’t notice this at first. The strange part is that the one connected directly to the power supply doesn’t work, then there is an outlet, followed by a light that does work, then two that don’t (around the corner), and finally one that works again.

We initially thought it might be related to the remote control, but it doesn’t light up at all to reset or adjust anything, and the lights themselves don’t respond. And this after only a month of use? We have already informed Ikea because they were installed by their installers. If this issue indeed takes a long time to resolve, my question is whether they can simply be replaced or if it’s a very complicated process?

Regards, Claudia
