Unfortunately, I haven’t made any progress with IKEA customer service so far (gave up after an hour on hold, no response via email or Facebook) – but maybe some of you have experience with this.
We bought a Rengöra dishwasher in September 2014, which suddenly stopped working after our vacation. After a few minutes, it starts beeping loudly and stops washing. The water supply is clean, free of scale, and the same as before the vacation. The Electrolux technician can only come in about four weeks. Since I don’t expect the issue to be resolved after just one visit, I would like to take the unit to IKEA and exchange it there.
Before I stand in line on a Saturday morning, I want to be sure that IKEA will accept the appliance and not send me back home. Does anyone know if IKEA accepts or exchanges defective appliances under the (still valid 5-year) warranty or the lifetime exchange guarantee?
Best regards
Christopher

usually the devices are not exchanged and customers are referred to customer service.
