ᐅ IKEA PAX Series Add-Ons

Help! We were shocked to find out that IKEA has discontinued the 70 cm (28 inch) high extensions for the Pax series, at least here in Germany. What are people living in older homes supposed to do? That’s such a waste of space! I don’t want to just put boxes on top—it just collects dust.

Does anyone have ideas on how to make an extension yourself? Like buying a tall cabinet and cutting it in half? Would that look okay? Would it be stable?

Or does anyone know if these extensions are still available in other countries (is there IKEA in Poland?), and if so, which ones?

(I hope this isn’t an old topic here on the forum, but I couldn’t find anything about it in the search)

So: all the attachments have been removed everywhere. As a substitute, you can use, for example, kitchen base cabinets that are turned upside down and then placed on top. You just have to decide what kind of doors to use.
