Hello!
I have a Pax wardrobe consisting of three units, each 1 meter (3.3 feet) wide, with hinged doors, and a height of 236 cm (93 inches). It is 11 years old and has always stood in the same spot. It was originally assembled by professional carpenters, not by me.
I would like to rearrange the wardrobe in the same room, again as a set of three units. The room has a parquet floor that should not be scratched during the move. The room height is 3 meters (9.8 feet).
What is the best way to do this? Do I need to remove the doors, or is it enough to take out the interior fittings? How many people will I need to move it safely?
Thank you very much for your advice!
Best regards, Andrea

I would leave the drawers in place. If you have patchwork rugs from Ikea, but wool blankets work too, you can lift the cabinet slightly on one side with a partner and slide the rug or blanket underneath. Don’t tilt it too much—just enough to get the blanket about 20cm (8 inches) underneath. Do the same on the other side and you’re set.
