ᐅ Ikea Kvarnobank Looking for cylinder strike plate with 2 holes

Our IKEA Kvarnobank broke. It’s missing a matching piece for the two screws on the side. Does anyone have one or know where I can get it? I couldn’t find anything at IKEA.

Isn’t there something like this in the IKEA spare parts vending machine?
If not, maybe have someone print it or build it yourself.

Is there a part number on it? If not, find the assembly instructions or search for them online. They usually include the part numbers.

IKEA also has an online spare parts shop (a quick internet search will help), where you can order replacement parts using the part number. They even ship to your home for free, so there’s no shipping cost.

Search for cross dowel bolts. Armed with a caliper, you should be able to find what you need.

It’s not that simple and definitely NOT funny. Seriously, it’s not. Ikea hasn’t sold this bench since 2009 and no longer has any spare parts for it. You can find the part on Amazon—but only in packs of 500 pieces—and I could order directly from the factory in China, but then I would have to buy at least 5,000 of them… No matter what you call this damn part: I only need one of them. If I asked a craftsman to remake it, it would cost around 100 euros (about 110 USD) — that’s what the hardware store says. My friend, who sat on it weighing about 150 kg (330 lbs), offered to recreate it in wood since he’s a carpenter… I really only need ONE of these.

No one said it was funny. But some problems just can’t be solved anymore. Everyone here has shared their best tips with you. If none of them work, maybe after 10 years you’ll have to get rid of the bench that recently cost 79€ and put a different one in its place?
