ᐅ Ikea Eket units in various heights

Hello,

I want to assemble parts from the IKEA Eket series. A tall cabinet with a door, then several small cabinets with 25cm (10 inches) and 35cm (14 inches) depth.
In the downloadable assembly instructions, I don’t see whether all units MUST be mounted to the wall.
How does assembly work with the Eket if the cabinets are supposed to be mounted on the base frame?
Should they be screwed together at the sides? But how exactly?
