Hello everyone,

I had a house designed and I'm not entirely sure about the hallway. What do you think? Is it easy to walk through from the front door all the way to the living room? Thanks for any information or suggestions for changes.

With all the slanted walls, the entrance area feels very busy to me. You can definitely get through—there's at least 90cm (35 inches) of space... But why have a pantry that is 1.78 square meters (19 square feet)? It takes up some space; instead, straighten the wall and put a tall cabinet there—that should require less space and have the same effect.

It looks a bit awkward: the walls are connected at different angles... If you plan the walls as a single vertical partition wall (without a pantry), you would have a wall left for a wonderfully long kitchen run. This looks more elegant and visually calm -> increases the living value. Also, there would be more space in the hallway at the entrance and for a sideboard -> increases the living value.

I wouldn’t even allow such a zigzag design in a renovated older property 😎

The purpose of all these slanted walls is more than unclear to me.

The slanted wall is really not acceptable... how are you supposed to properly use the space in the kitchen? Are you planning to install the cabinet sideways as well?

Maybe post the entire ground floor plan so solutions can be suggested. One thing is clear: crooked walls end up looking like poor workmanship, and technically, they are.
