Hello everyone, I have a question that has been on my mind for a while: What is the best way to clean Ikea Metod glass fronts when dealing with stubborn dirt, without damaging the glass surface or the frames?
I mainly struggle with greasy fingerprints, dried-on splashes, and sometimes some dried dirt. So far, I have tried regular glass cleaners, but the results are often unsatisfactory, and sometimes unsightly streaks appear, or the dirt does not come off completely.
Does anyone have experience with which products and methods work particularly well, maybe also tips for protecting the material? It would be great if the cleaning steps are as gentle as possible, yet effective. Thanks in advance for your advice!

Hello madelein37 and everyone else, I would like to draw your attention to the handling of dirt buildup on the edges of glass facades. Often, dirt residues accumulate there, which are easily overlooked but can disrupt the overall appearance.
I also recommend:
- Gently running a soft brush or a cotton swab slightly moistened with lukewarm dish soap water along the edges.
- Taking care to prevent moisture from entering the joints or the frame to avoid damage to the materials.
Regular protection of the facades by occasional treatment with a care plastic spray (for the frames) is also useful to reduce dirt adhesion.
Finally: Always clean from top to bottom using gentle, as even as possible movements to avoid dripping residues and better control how well the dirt is removed.
