Since electricity keeps getting more expensive, I have been thinking a lot about how to reduce my electricity costs. What else can be done besides eating in the dark?

Annegret-16 Feb 2014 19:16I have also taken several steps to save electricity. I turn off devices on standby. Then I installed LED lamps. When cooking, I keep the lid on the pot. Also, during the week I use the shower instead of taking a bath.

Angelia-18 Feb 2014 13:11mmh, standby mode isn’t always practical because some devices actually consume more power when starting up. Saving energy is definitely a good thing, but not if it comes at the expense of convenience like

Serena1990-14 Jun 2014 00:19There are many ways to reduce energy costs. Some habits require sacrificing convenience. For example, the dishwasher is only started when it is full. The same applies to the washing machine.
