Hello everyone,
I own several pieces of furniture from the IKEA Hemnes series and would like to know how to clean them easily without damaging the wood or surface. I am especially interested in effective everyday cleaning methods that quickly remove stains or dust, ideally without harsh chemicals and with minimal effort. What cleaning products and techniques do you consider best for gently yet thoroughly maintaining Hemnes furniture? Are there any specific care instructions from IKEA that you would recommend? Thanks for your tips!

- For oiled surfaces, it is recommended to do additional maintenance with suitable wood oils that nourish and protect the wood.I agree with that. I have treated the oiled Hemnes bed with wood oil every few months. After that, the piece of furniture looks like new – the maintenance is definitely worth it.

Additionally, I would like to mention that for Hemnes furniture, it can be practical in some cases to use a microfiber duster. It picks up dust very quickly without becoming damp, so you don’t unnecessarily wet the furniture. This way, everything stays clean and the furniture surface is protected.
